Amazon private label: build a brand you own, step by step
Private label means selling a product under your own brand. We guide you through every stage, from choosing the product to scaling the listing, using the same process we apply to our own brands.
What our private label service includes
- Product research: finding products with real demand, manageable competition and healthy margins. See product research.
- Sourcing: supplier selection, samples, negotiation and quality control. See supplier and product sourcing.
- Brand foundations: brand name, trademark guidance, packaging and Brand Registry.
- Listing and creative: optimized copy, photography, infographics and A+ Content.
- Launch: a planned product launch with PPC and compliant review generation.
- Growth: ongoing account management, advertising and range expansion.
Why we can speak from experience
We are sellers as well as an agency. Our founder runs her own private label products on Amazon UK alongside managing client accounts across the US, UK and Australia, so the advice you receive comes from people who put their own money into inventory and deal with the same suppliers, fees and policy changes you will.
The private label roadmap
- Validate: research, margin modelling and a clear point of difference.
- Source: samples from several suppliers, then a first production order with inspection.
- Prepare: trademark application, packaging, listing and creative.
- Launch: first 90 days focused on ranking and reviews.
- Scale: variations, related products and new marketplaces.
What to expect
From decision to first sale usually takes several months, driven mostly by production and shipping times. Private label requires meaningful capital for inventory, creative and launch advertising, and not every product succeeds. Careful research and honest margin calculations reduce the risk but do not remove it. We will always tell you when the numbers do not support a product.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to start a private label product?
Costs vary widely by product. The main items are inventory, shipping, product photography, a trademark and launch advertising. We build a full cost model with you before you commit to a supplier.
Do I need a trademark?
You can sell without one, but a registered or pending trademark is needed for Brand Registry, which unlocks A+ Content, Vine, Sponsored Brands and better protection against hijackers.
Can you help if I already have a product that is not selling?
Yes. We audit the listing, pricing, reviews and advertising to find out why, then recommend either a relaunch plan or, where the numbers do not work, an exit plan for the stock.
