Amazon product research that tests the numbers before you spend

Choosing the product is the decision that matters most, and the hardest to reverse. We assess demand, competition, margin and risk so you commit money to inventory with clear eyes.

What we analyse for every product idea

  • Demand: search volume and sales estimates across the main keywords, checked for seasonality and trend direction.
  • Competition: how many sellers hold the top positions, their review counts and ratings, and whether a few brands dominate.
  • Margin: selling price, Amazon referral and FBA fees, landed cost, advertising allowance and returns, modelled per unit.
  • Differentiation: what buyers complain about in existing reviews, and whether you can realistically fix it.
  • Risk: restricted categories, safety and compliance documents, patents and trademarks, size and weight, and breakage.

What you receive

A written report for each shortlisted product: the keyword set, a competitor table, a unit economics model you can edit, the main risks and a clear recommendation of go, adjust or stop. Where the answer is stop, we explain why and suggest what to look at instead.

How we work

  1. Brief: your budget, target marketplace, categories you know and anything you want to avoid.
  2. Longlist: candidate products screened against agreed criteria.
  3. Deep dive: full analysis on the strongest three to five ideas.
  4. Decision call: we walk through the findings and agree the next step, usually supplier sourcing.

What to expect

Research reduces risk; it does not remove it. Sales estimates from third-party tools are approximations, and markets change between research and launch. We state which figures are measured and which are estimated, and we would rather tell you a product is weak than let you find out with a container of stock.

Frequently asked questions

Which tools do you use for product research?

We combine Amazon’s own data, including Brand Analytics and Product Opportunity Explorer where available, with third-party tools such as Helium 10 and Keepa, and then check the results manually.

What makes a good product to sell on Amazon?

Consistent demand, competitors that can realistically be matched or beaten, a healthy margin after all fees and advertising, and a clear improvement you can offer. Small, light, durable products are usually simpler for a first launch.

Can you research products for Amazon UK or Australia?

Yes. Demand and competition differ by marketplace, so we research each country separately instead of assuming a US result applies elsewhere.
