Inventory planning that keeps you in stock without tying up cash
Running out of stock costs ranking and sales. Holding too much costs storage fees and cash flow. We forecast demand and plan reorders so you stay between the two.
What inventory planning includes
- Demand forecasting: by SKU, using sales history, seasonality, planned promotions and advertising changes.
- Reorder planning: reorder points and quantities based on supplier lead time, shipping time and safety stock.
- FBA capacity management: tracking capacity limits and your Inventory Performance Index so shipments are not blocked.
- Aged inventory actions: identifying slow stock early and choosing between price changes, promotions, removal or liquidation.
- Shipment plans: creating and tracking inbound shipments, and following up on receiving discrepancies.
- Peak season planning: Prime Day, Q4 and category-specific peaks planned months ahead.
The numbers we manage
A reorder point is simple in principle: average daily sales multiplied by total lead time, plus safety stock. The difficulty is that sales and lead times both move. We update forecasts regularly, track sell-through and weeks of cover for each SKU, and flag the products that are heading towards a stock-out or towards long-term storage charges.
How we work
- Baseline: current stock, inbound shipments, sales velocity and supplier lead times collected in one planning sheet.
- Forecast: demand by SKU for the next three to six months.
- Reorder calendar: dates and quantities for each purchase order.
- Monthly review: forecast compared with actual sales, and the plan adjusted.
What to expect
A forecast is an informed estimate, not a certainty. Unexpected demand spikes, supplier delays and Amazon receiving times still happen. What changes is that you see problems weeks earlier and have options. Brands that plan properly typically suffer fewer stock-outs and pay less in avoidable storage and removal fees.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Inventory Performance Index?
The IPI is Amazon’s score for how efficiently you manage FBA stock. It reflects excess inventory, sell-through, stranded inventory and in-stock rate, and a low score can restrict how much you can send in.
How much safety stock should I hold?
Enough to cover normal variation in sales and lead time. Products with long or unreliable lead times need more. We calculate it per SKU instead of applying one rule to the whole catalog.
Can you help if I am already overstocked?
Yes. We rank excess stock by cost and age, then choose the best option for each SKU, which may be pricing, advertising, outlet deals, removal or liquidation.
